Kobo Mini for $49.99

I got Kobo mini few days ago on 22/11/2012 at my Cobourg - Coles - Northumberland Mall
price just right... $49.99
... hope for love at first side... but no luck...
but it have few problems
1. problems reading my pdf files - could not open any of my pd
f files
2. inside the box I see offer first book 90% off - never receive this offer 90% off - first book- when I activated my Kobo mini... never receive it on my Kobo screen or in my email account - when I call Kobo support line and ask where is my 90%off coupon for my first book- I got reply if you did not receive this offer/coupon it's your problem , not a Kobo problem...
3. ghosting of the prev. pages still on the screen after page turn...
4. Wifi indicator gives error...on the screen 1 bar, even my other Wifi devices show strong Wifi connection 4-5 bars on the screen...
Kobo mini price is right, but I would not recommend it for day to day use... for reading pdf files, Kobo mini for kids maybe, Anyway after trying loading and changing/modifying/converting my pdf files for few days and could not get them to work or open them inside my Kobo mini - I decided - Kobo mini not for me, as I do value my time - today 26/11/2012 I call - Cobourg - Coles - Northumberland Mall the and ask if I could return my Kobo mini - got reply - if you open box - our policy no return/or refund... as I could not use Kobo mini to read my pdf files or return for refund... I got myself a nice $49.99 plus tax door stopper... please note - I do know - per Canadian law any retail place- do not have to accept returns or request for refund... on open or un-open items... maybe other will have better luck with Kobo mini... I do not... Nor I recommend Kobo mini to others due to the lack or quality of the Kobo customer service and ability to read user created pdf files... or clearly defined return/refind policy on the Coles receipt...

For Dimension please take a look at the pick where AVN801 is with smart phone by it side…
Front of the AVN801

Back of the  AVN801

I connectedAVN801 to my network via SAPIDO Wireless 3 in 1 Pocket N+ Broadband Router (RB-1602), logged in and configure it.
AVN801 have very easy to use simple user interface and it do works well with Safari, Opera and IE9… - Remind me of my first router install, simple and easy.
AVN801 do support both ActiveX and QuickTime format, as with all IP camera’s video
Do get a bit of lag but it around but in my opinion it less than half a second or less  for me it was barely noticeable…

In my company corporate security environment I tested AVN801 (as extra add on to our layer of security) with Ipod touch 4th gen and Android based Smart Phone
Easy simple Apps install (Check (monitor/streaming) + Control the AVN801 ) for Ipod Touch and  Android phone.

I like the quality of the pictures and videos/audio
Here is sample when I try to use camera outside security camera with Push Video:

If the AVN801 spark your interest you could see more on YouTube AVTECH introduction for EagleEyes on mobile device.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS9kNScyPqo
I tested and monitor my Co. cubical area when I was away (to see who is using my pen) via Push Video notification anytime someone entering my private cubical area
I did try it on my family and family pet – my Bird - Detection & Tracking and assess control for the door of  bird room via attaching external door I/O to the back of the AVN801
Take a look at the picture.

Also you could use it as security camera with remote monitoring plus option to attach compatible External I/O to monitor door/or windows opening away from the camera viewing angle… (Excellent option for Home/Corporate Security)
In my case I use door external I/O to see if any one troubling my bird with opening and closing door away from the camera viewing angle – while I’m away…
When my wife open door
Door Alarm External I/O get triggered and I get Push Video on my phone – all happening in real time as event infolding right before my eyes on the screen of my Android phone…( I could see my bird is safe in the cage – it my wife came to feed her.)
Also I could hear my bird screaming demanding clean water...

Myself as visual person I would like to mention few options I really like:

Event Record (duration) 5, 10, 20, 40 sec. Selectable and 10MB space to store important events inside camera
Option to have Alarm I/O sensor attached
Mic builds in for one-way communication.

On the final note: AVN801 -Push Video All-In-One HD IP Camera is good home or corporate security solutions for anyone… who want Security for the right economical price.  I do recommend it as an economical IP camera total security solution at the present time…

I won this RAM as from Kingston Technology Canada - 1 x HyperX 8G Plug and Play (kit of 2)

I won this RAM as from Kingston Technology Canada - 1 x HyperX 8G Plug and Play (kit of 2) -
thank you  Kingston Technology Canada for my price and fast shipment...
RAM  arrived properly packed in the antistatic case  ( case is good to keep laptop ram or regular size pc ram - good idea to preserve environment with less plastic
if production line get changed from pc ram to laptop ram or Vice versa )
I opened my laptop put Ram -in - it immediately recognized the memory  and installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bits... -Installation was a breeze (as long as you have the tools to open the bottom of the laptop, of course)...
I did not believe my eyes laptop loaded up OS really fast, and after I could run XP in virtual environment really fast
I did notice performance and loading up to 55% faster - had improved productivity. I now can work with all of my memory eating applications open without problem, and I've noticed great improvement in  web surfing and just general use of the computer. I am VERY pleased! - When I opened Photoshop Elements 9, the response almost jumped off the page! What a difference! Every action snappy and swift. An amazing difference.
less heat under laptop - as with Kingston quality Ram - I suspect it got good heat dispersion (Kingston Technology on the outside the RAM chip -heatsinks) in the Ram area.
Not one lockup/freeze or problem of any kind. Programs are faster in general and I don't worry about closing applications any more.
I can't recommend the Kingston Technology RAM  high enough...
